Our guesthouse

We renovated an old farmhouse and added a few rooms. Now there are 7 rooms for fourteen people, each with its own bathroom. The four rooms of the former farmhouse, with their old beams, patinated windows and doors, are reminiscent of a more peaceful era. The new rooms are bright, cheerful and modern.

Only the apartment has its own kitchen, the other rooms have a kettle for making coffee and/or tea in the morning. For cooking and dining, guests have access to a well-equipped common kitchen and dining area.

Our guest house is available for rent per room - all with separate entrances and private bathrooms.

The back of the garden is a realm of grasshoppers, lizards and kingfishers, where the observant and careful visitor can admire the wonders of nature. You can find here a drinking pool that attracts a multitude of birds, and a hide from where you can watch the feathered ones scurrying for water on sweltering summer days from an arm's length away. The garden has a spacious pavilion for chatting with friends, sipping wine, reading in solitude or enjoying an outdoor breakfast.

Family apartment

The two spacious bedrooms of the apartment can accommodate 2+3 people, but both rooms can comfortably accommodate 1-1 extra bed. The dining room and kitchen are shared between the two rooms and have all the equipment you need for cooking, from a lemon squeezer to an electric knife. A dishwasher is also provided for guests' convenience.

Single room

A comfortable, cozy small room with a private bathroom.

Room with double bed

Spacious room with thick walls, which can accommodate an extra bed if needed.

Twin rooms

We have 3 small rooms, each with two single beds, which are very similar in character and furnishings. These rooms are located in the newly built part of the building and are more modern and brighter than the rooms in the former farmhouse. All three are equipped with air-conditioning with heating and cooling.

Community spaces

Kitchen and dining room

A communal kitchen and dining room in a separate building provides a pleasant place for meals and social activities in cooler weather or in the hot summer. In the dining room, an oven provides warmth in winter (supplemented by air conditioning), but is also suitable for baking bread and meat.

(For those who don't want to hear about cooking or kitchen during their rest, we kindly recommend the nearby Tiszatáj Guesthouse.)

Pavilion

The gazebo is the perfect place for chatting with friends, sipping wine, reading in private or even having breakfast in the open air. It provides shade in the sunshine, while its open walls allow you to feel close to nature while relaxing or chatting. The atmosphere and surroundings of the pavilion are an oasis in everyday life, where you can relax and unwind.

Guest reviews

Fantastic place, excellent accommodation and programmes. I recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderful time at Rigófütty Guesthouse with our 4 little boys. The spacious, 2-bedroom apartment, cool even in summer, was a great place to sleep after all the games. The 2 year olds could also run around in the huge garden, found lots to explore and a huge wicker toy chest was waiting for them. With Réka, my 4 and 6 year olds played lots of interesting environmental games, she also created lots of bird tasks to suit their interests, they really enjoyed it. The area is a real birdwatcher's paradise, there are also bee-eaters nesting nearby, it was a special experience to listen and watch them. During a short excursion, also led by our host, we got a glimpse into the life of the Great Lake, seeing terns, ducks, spoonbills, egrets, and even a white tailed eagle! It is an ideal place for small birdwatchers and their families, scouts, and a great choice for anyone who wants peace and quiet, birdsong and to be close to nature.
